Misplaced or broken the original equipment engine oil dipstick? This universal dipstick can be used on nearly any car, truck or SUV after being properly measured and trimmed to fit. It's constructed of durable braided stainless steel with a plastic handle similar to the factory dipstick, and comes with three different stoppers to accommodate different designs of dipstick tube. The fitting process is straightforward: Perform a complete oil change on your vehicle and add the factory-recommended amount of engine oil to ensure the level is correct, or you can use your previous dipstick to determine the full level. From there, twist off the handle of the Dorman unit. Select the stick stopper that fits your tube, then install it on the handle. Adjust the stick to the correct length, trim the excess cable, reinstall the handle and check the oil level with your new dipstick. Forget fighting adjustable stick tops and trying to use flat metal dip sticks when a cable is needed. I had a hard time finding any 17 inch 7-lug rim for my 2014 Ford F150XL. I saw that a matching rim was listed on Ebay by Wheel Synergy while doing a Google Search, so I decided to check them out personally. I don't do Ebay. It took just a little while to find the right part. The process was smooth. Even the Standard Shipping (Free) was faster than some of the errant rims from salvage yards.
The only change I would make? They had listings for F-150 & F150. The rim I needed was under the latter. Maybe change one to F150HD?
